The Perfume Shop
The Nose is an internal comms magazine designed and written in the style of a leading women’s weekly. Available to staff in both digital and print editions, it has become the main internal comms vehicle for The Perfume Shop and a go-to source of information for staff. Indigodog has published The Nose for over seven years, during which time the magazine has won awards at the Institute of Internal Communications, The Content Marketing Awards and the MarComm Awards.
On The Dot
Williams Lea Tag approached Indigodog to revamp the employee engagement strategy for On the Dot, the bi-monthly magazine for DHL Express. In our comprehensive overhaul we created a new structure, for clearer navigation; a fresh look; and a lighter approach to headlines and introductions to draw the reader into stories. The results were dramatic. A ‘newsletter’ was transformed into a confident and appealing ‘magazine’, with a distinct uplift in reader engagement.
Quality Edge was a digital and print magazine for members of VisitEngland’s quality-assessed accommodation and attractions scheme. The magazine, however, wasn’t living up to the ‘quality’ of its name. Our team introduced a clean and modern new design, a solid editorial vision and beautiful photography to transform this title into something to make our client proud. Survey feedback revealed a sizable rise in reader satisfaction and engagement.

Pipeline Industries Guild
The Pipeline Industries Guild asked us to overhaul their digital newsletter In the Pipeline. While respecting the highly technical content, we widened the appeal of the magazine by bringing in more readers’ voices, more striking visuals and more bold headlines, boxouts and pullquotes to engage members. In short, we stripped all the boring out of B2B and created a magazine that reflected a dynamic, exciting industry.
Electrical Contractors Association
Published by the Electrical Contractors Association, ECA Today had established itself as the voice of authority in the electrical industry. It turned to Indigodog to help it refresh the magazine and find a way to help it embrace the wider electrotechnical and engineering services industry. Following an in-depth look at the ECA and its industry, we created a new structure, new content suggestions and a modern look to appeal to this wider audience.
The Perfume Shop
How do you get staff to refer to, read and understand complex HR policies? By bringing in publishing expertise. Indigodog provided an overhaul of the manual’s structure and copy, creating a logical flow for the various sections and a clear, concise writing style. This was complemented by imagery to break up text and the use of heads, subheads and bullets for reader navigation. The result? A manual that was finally useful – and well read.
Williams Lea Tag wanted us to put together a design and editorial strategy for Commerzbanks’s Perspectives magazine. This dual-language publication is distributed in 85 countries to investment banking professionals. We developed a forward-looking design using imaginative (and sometimes semi-abstract) imagery, and an engaging editorial approach to presenting long-form features (strong headlines, pullquotes, boxouts and other ‘ways in’ for the reader).
Digital Sales Campaign
Our client at Tag Publishing wanted to find a way to sell its editorial services to internal departments right across its global organisation. We helped devise, design and write an integrated campaign that included an email sales letter, a brochure, a PowerPoint presentation and, finally, an animated digital pitch presented on a parallax scrolling website. The campaign generated an extraordinary amount of internal awareness for the publishing team.
Brochures and Mailers
Yes, brochures and mailers still play a major role in brand communications – they’re the perfect medium for more in-depth messages readers can relax and take their time over. Our talented designers, photographers, stylists and journalists created a series of brochures to help Asda publicise different ranges for different seasonal events such as Easter, Halloween and summer.
Williams Lea Tag asked Indigodog Publishing to provide new concepts for the O2 buyer’s guide magazine. Our work involved finding new and exciting ways to present dozens of handsets, while also maintaining a uniform grid. Our design and editorial teams worked together to develop an easy, at-a-glance guide to phone features while highlighting the key selling point of each product.
Digital Press Pack
Working with our partner WLT, Indigodog was asked to produce concepts for an Amazon year-end press pack for journalists. The brief required a digital-only format that would be easy to access. We created a format of eye-catching infographics to sit alongside longer-form content, to give busy journalists the opportunity to skim key facts or dig deeper into detailed content.
Vivabox Gift Set
Vivabox approached us to create packaging and copy for a gift set that included several perfume samples and a voucher for a full bottle of the customer’s choice. We designed a gift with a luxury feel and created a tagline – ‘Buy it. Choose it. Love it’ – that encapsulated the product’s appeal. Our client was so happy with the results they rolled out our concepts across several other related campaigns across the world
